Summer 2010

Hey everyone! So for the first couple of weeks of summer I stayed in LO and hung out with my friends, and recovered from junior year. I went on a bunch of hikes around Mt. Hood, which were quite gorgeous.

At the beginning of July I flew down to California for fourth of July to visit with my grandma, my awesome cousins and my aunt and uncle. We flew into LA and then from there drove a lovely 6 hours through the middle of nowhere to get to mammoth (which still had snow and had the lifts running till the 5th of July!!). On the way there we passed lots of cute, scenic little towns (I'm being sarcastic).

The family

By the time we arrived at mammoth we were all extremely happy to see some trees. We stayed for a week and did a lot of hiking and some mountain biking, as well as one rather memorable horseback ride.

Tari, one of the horses I'm riding/training.
Jane, the other horse i'm training/riding.
After we came back from California we stay in LO for the remainder of the summer, we went on more hikes etc...but mainly I worked on my artwork, hung out with the remaining friends that had stayed in LO for the summer, and also worked some more with the horses at my barn etc...For those of you who don't know me I've been riding horses since I was four and am currently doing dressage and am on the Lakeridge Equestrian Team. I also love to ski, and am super excited for this winter (snow reports are saying that we're going to get a ton!!!). That was pretty much my summer, see ya'll on Monday!
